!!! Welcome to the Guerilla Recording Blog !!!

Todd, you are the administrator, no? You have a great forum here and I hope that my personal feelings being on this blog do not hinder my participation. Your site helped me get up and running with this Boss unit and now it is time to let the medium be in the background and Music take center stage for me, and I hope some folks will listen. My music can't help but be political because I have been subjected to wrongs by our politics. My entire life has been altered by them. And no matter how much more I am able to voice myself on here, this site and the people who posted help for me will always get props no matter where I am. I plan on releasing some pretty good stuff for free online soon but I will not affiliate myself with your site unless you wish for it to be. This music is going to have a Hard Message even though it is not Metal. It is just hard rockin' hard livin' Everyman Music, ya know?

Let us start first with my political leanings, as this is an area that I will not seperate from the people I choose to grant the term Friend. I can co-exist with liberal and progressive types and in most ways am one myself, except for the 2nd amendment rift I sometimes have with my pals. I can not tolerate bible-thumping, fundamentalist, closed-minded, war-mongering, give-me-mine-and-the-rest-be-damned republicans, And I live in the Buckle of the Bible Belt-close to Birmingham, Alabama. But do not call me athiest! I have an Understanding, as well as an Ongoing Dialogue with The Energy. Want to discuss? Just ask. So there are not a lot of Liberal people around here. Don't think me a Democrat, however, I will always side with Dems over reps. I am a true Socialist. I do not need much to be happy and were the rest of most of the population of this planet to get out of their systems the need to conquer their neighbor and to have more and better than they have, they would also realize that they, too, do not need a lot to be happy. I literally pity the person who has to have a bigger car, home; better shoes and plastic accessorized bodies in order to feel like they are worthy. I used to hate them. Now I just feel sorry for them. If you read this and happen to be one of these people, please know that I burn incense every day in the hope that Life transforms you into a whole person from the inside. Transformation is painful. I know. I am in the process of it.

For all that care to read this (and I expect that to be no one), I am a home recording addict. I used to use an archaic setup of anolog, tape-based equipment that I actually got some very good demo's from due to the fact that you only have so many takes with tape, so I'd better get the part right first. At the time I was a Died-In-The-Wool "tape freak", but the fact that my Fiance's home was burgled while I was in...let us call it a "Tour of Duty"... forced me -on a very limited budget- to find a way to record the ideas I had come up with whilst I was away. I bought a Boss BR 600 and the first day I had the thing I recorded better quality music than almost all of my sh*t from the tape days. Everything except my #1 guitar was lifted when Sly's house got nicked and it would've been taken as well had it not been taken apart and stored away in a box. It is an early 90's Fender Strat that I just cannot seem to stop modifying, but that I love dearly. I have no working amp, and only one lowly Marshall BluesBreaker (old black one from the 80's) overdrive pedal that I hardly use with this unit as it is way too noisy. And it really is only useful in front of a semi-clean tube amp anyway. I really love that pedal in that situation. It is modded as well. I am in the process of building a Marshall 18 watt clone at present. I will eventually put some audio up for whoever to hear. I have a lot but none copyrighted, so please do not fault me for wanting to protect my intellectual property. We all do have to eat, and my day job is almost non-existent at present because of the "Infinite Wisdom" of some of the most "brilliant" architects of modern market places. But that is for another blog, I guess. Not really. We can't seperate ourselves from our Personal Constitution no more than we can live without a heartbeat.

Til Next Time, Keep Vigilant Protest To "Big Brother"!!!
