Building a home recording
Building a home recording studio can be very complicated. There are a bunch of variables that you need to account for when deciding what gear to buy. Asking questions of yourself about what you intend to do with your home studio and coming up with a budget before you start shopping can help you save a ton of money.
You can get started with a decent home studio for about $1750.00, assuming you have a computer capable of running the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) software. You'll need an interface, microphones, monitors and cables. Be sure you want to start down this road because once you start a common illness call "Gear Lust" will set in very quickly and you find yourself spending thousands of dollars.
I just got finished writting a blog about buying gear for a home studio. I won't post the whole thing here but here's a link to the blog: Buying the Gear for Your Home Studio
