I'm always surfing the web to find cool new music sites. I found this one called Chord Book. It is a really nifty site. Basically, it's a flash site where you can pick different chords and it will show you the fingerings and you can also strum the chords to see how they sound. You can learn to play scales and improve your lead solos, with the guitar scales generator. Quick tune your guitar using the guitar tuner and try out alternative tunings. read more »
My Virtual Band is a website that is to music what Lynux is to operating system. My Virtual Band is an Open Source Music and Online Collaboration website. Great idea! Basically all you need is a high speed connection, an instrument, a way to record it, and talent. You record your part, and others across the planet collaborate with you. Although, what happens if you have a killer guitar part and some really bad drummer ads his drums? Can you delete them or are you stuck with bad drums? read more »
I found this site today, it is about Rock Bands and the origins of their names. I spent quite a bit of time there today. Very interesting reading. If you're curious how Creedence Clearwater Revival or Chumbawamba got their name, you need to check out this site. 01-05-06
