5W CLASS A ALL TUBE GUITAR AMP embedded attenuater

kldguitar's picture

The kldguitar GT5 Class A combo amplifier features a single 6L6 output tube producing 5 watts through a single 6.5" speaker. You won't find a tube circuit much simpler than that, and it gives you the sweet, pure cleans and warm, crunchy overdrive that can only come from tubes. Simple volume and tone/shape controls give you the widest range of sounds you can find on a practice/recording amplifier.Pre controls – let you obtain sound from clean to overdriverThe GT5 guitar amp is based on a classic American all-tube circuit, delivering brilliant cleans and crunchy overdrive sounds. Low wattage through minimal EQ and a small speaker can equal awesome tone when dimmed. That's why the small tube amp is a long time secret weapon of toneful guitarists and wily producers to getting big, cranked-to-the-max tube tones down on tape.
Tubes! Just the smell of those glass bottles blazing with fire gets amp aficionados to perk up and lose their cool. Giving our all for the evolution of all-tube tone, GT 5 produce the sweet cleans and earthy distortion that can only come from tubes.

GT5 has switch key to let player select Pentode/triode. If you like big loud amplifier’s output, you can select pentode model, certainly, if you like clean and better sound, you can select triode model.  read more »

Digidesign Mbox

Todd Fugere's picture

I finally got my Mbox. While I am loving Pro Tools Le 7, I am not so impressed with the Mbox. First of all, they say it has zero latency, this is not true at all. Matter of fact there is quite a bit of latency, enough to be very annoying. The second problem I have is a high pitch squealing sound whenever I use Pro Tools and my Mbox. The Mbox also has no MIDI on it, which kinda blows as well. My third issue is I was hoping to be able to use my old Digidesign 001 with Pro Tools LE 7. After speaking with their tech support they tell me that 6.4 was the last version that supports the 001.

So after all is said and done, I may just scrap the Mbox and reload Windows 98 on a pc and run my old version of Pro Tools and my 001. Which I've always been happy with. I just hate the fact the software won't run on Windows XP.

Long story short, I'd recommend finding a different interface than the Digidesign Mbox, decent price but way too many issues.

Looking For Tips To Setup Home Studio

Magi's picture

Hello, I would like to know the best why to create a good signal flow using my home studio gear.  Here is the following list of the equipment I would like to link together: PC - running XP, Interface (Pro Tools 002 rack) + small Behringer mixer. From the mixer I would like to connect my Korg ESX-1 {FX} Val-Tube sampler + A Blue Tube Dual Mic Amp. I would use this signal flow to record and process my vocals, guitar and keyboard. Next I have a midi Novation Midi controller, Korg 16 pad controller and an Akai XR20 Drum machine. Later I would like to add some out board gear such has effects and compressors. Based what I have listed can anyone provide me with a flow chart or reasonable schematic to turn this into a workable layout.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks, Magi

Phoenix Builds Home Recording Studio

Todd Fugere's picture

Hollywood star Joaquin Phoenix is so serious about pursuing a career as a rapper that he has had a high-tech recording studio installed in his house.

The Oscar-winner shocked fans last year when he announced his plans to step away from the cameras and pick up a microphone.

Director James Gray, who worked with Phoenix on his latest film, "Two Lovers," insists Phoenix is doing everything possible to ensure he gets the best shot at his new music career, and has been laying down tracks in the comfort of his own home studio.
