Songwriting and Arranging

From the depths of my home studio, let me give you some good old fashioned lyrics! By Singer Songwriter Billy LuFrances, Found True Love: My search for you is over, I have found true love. You are the one I would never find, just in time, you fit me like a glove. The beauty, charm and sparkle inside of every move you make, You know you keep my heart apounding, in founding what you take. CHOURUS: So now all I do is love you, a little bit more each day, you are in my dreams now girl, all I want is you to stay.

You send my spirits soaring, yeah you move across my mind, the wind will now have you played apon, your smile so nice to find. Kings say you will be there, a Queen among all men, Share the gold within your heart and your circles may never end. CHORUS: So now all I do is love you, a little bit more each day, you are in my dreams now girl, all I want is you to stay.

My search for you is over, I have found true love. You are the one I would never find, Now you sit as sweetly as a morning dove.

I love the internet. With today's technology and some bandwidth you can have a band that includes you on guitar, a drummer in iceland, a bassplayer in L.A., a singer from Prague, and keyboards from Amsterdam.

eJamming allows musicians in different locations to jam together remotely in real time. eJamming uses live voice and video transmission so musicians can speak and see one another, and allows MP3 files of finished jams to be shared.  read more »

For me, songs come in groups. I can go six months without writing a single thing, then suddenly I'll have 5 or 6 ideas. I'm not sure why this is? I know at times, I feel more creative and inspired than others. But again, I'm not sure why this is. I just know that I HAVE to write songs. I don't have a choice.  read more »

Have you ever said "we can fix it later?" If you're using those words in the studio, you're headed for trouble. But in certain situations, you can fix it later.

When you Punch in you are inserting new information into a preexisting recorded track. You basically hit or "punch" the record button on the target track at a sepcific time to replace the section with a new performance.  read more »

Back in 1998 or so, I had a ton of songs that I wanted to get recorded. It was time to make an actual CD that I could be proud of. My friend said he knew a guy who had a Pro Tools studio set up in his apartment. I grabbed my twelve string and went over there. I did a few tracks. One of which was Who Do You Think You Are. He did a nice job and made everything sound really great.  read more »

After completing SX1000. I continued working on new songs. I started using more recording software and different drum beat software than before. Now that I was more experienced with music production and Pro Tools, I experimented quite a bit more. I tried to make things a little heavier but with the same sound and feel as the first disc. In other words, I wanted people who liked the first CD to still like the second one, with the exception of heavier, more experimental songs.  read more »
